Please join us in welcoming poet Jericho Brown for a reading and signing of his latest collection, The Tradition, which details the normalization of evil and its history at the intersection of the past and the personal.
Beauty abounds in Jericho Brown’s daring new poetry collection, despite the evil that pollutes the everyday. The Tradition questions why and how we’ve become accustomed to terror: in the bedroom, the classroom, the workplace, and the movie theater. From mass shootings to rape to the murder of unarmed people by police, Brown interrupts complacency by locating each emergency in the garden of the body, where living things grow and wither— or survive.
Please RSVP for this event. Book bundle tickets are also available. You DO NOT need to sign up for a general RSVP if you purchase a book bundle. Bundled tickets include one copy of The Tradition and admits you and one family.
