Join cookbook author Elisa Callow and Mario Rodriguez, exceptional home cook and co-food foraging obsessive for a conversation about food, palate, surprising ingredients, and the creation of the cookbook The Urban Forager: Exploring & Cooking on L.A.'s Eastside (out March 12th). Food will be provided!
Elisa Callow is the former Director of The Armory Center for the Arts in Pasadena, and has lived in the Philippines and Malaysia during her father's tour as a Peace Corps country director. Her love of history, culture, and food has found its convergence in Los Angeles's burgeoning food culture jumpstarted and sustained by varied patterns of immigration. Visit her blog at theurbanforager.co.
Mario Rodriguez is an acclaimed home cook and contributor for The Urban Forager cookbook. A Riverside/Los Angeles local, Rodriguez is one of owner Linda's former students from the Puente Project and a long-time friend.
