It's time to make Riverside's city government reflect its constituents more appropriately. Cellar Door invites you to meet Erin Edwards, running for City Council in Ward 1. Remember, our City Council votes on issues that affect as all, no matter what ward you vote in.
When Edwards realized that there were no women on Riverside's City Council, she knew she had to step up. How can Riverside be a city where everyone can thrive if we are not a city where everyone is represented? Edwards would bring her expertise fighting homelessness, hunger, and gender inequality to City Hall. In a place where over 60% of our homeless population is women, this is much-needed. As the mother of a young daughter, Edwards is dreaming big: what will it take to see a woman on Riverside's City Council in 2019? And what will it look like to live in a city where everyone can thrive?
