Author Tamika Burgess at Thompson Middle School

Dear Parents, We have an exciting upcoming event! On Thursday, March 30th, author Tamika Burgess will visit our school. Ms. Burgess writes middle grade books for grade 3 through grade 6. Born to parents who migrated from Panamá, Tamika Burgess has always taken a particular interest in writing personal essays that explore her Black Latina identity. If you would like your child to have a book signed by the author or to order books for gifts, please complete and return this form with payment to your child’s teacher.
